C++ VNC Proxy and VNC Java Applet Modification

This purpose of this project is to build a proxy to handle a secure method of communication between the client java applet and XenServer XAPI. It will be required that you have a solid understanding of both Java and C++ and a rock solid understanding of both RFB (Remote FrameBuffer Protocol) and Socket Factories. You will be required to modify the OpenSource Java Applet of our choosing (tightVNC) to send authentication parameters that have been picked up from the HTML page the Java Applet was rendered in, this will then pass onto the proxy for authentication with a Database. The proxy will need to be designed to run on CentOS / Redhat and be run as a daemon, you will also be required if time permits to write an init.d script to start / stop / restart this console proxy. We will be providing the full development environment to work with, including a XenServer to test against, both the DB and required data.
