I want a freelancer to create specific reports based on current fashion trends -
The focus 100% on Textile Design analysis.
The reports will be collated after thorough internet research and need to include a different section based on each identified trend. There should be a minimum of 6 identified trends every month in the report.
The report will have a front cover. It will have a heading of the season or month of the trend research.
E.g. Spring/ Summer '17 Textile Trend Report.
In the report it will include each seperate trend and each trend analysis section should include:
+ supporting imagery:
The imagery is the most important aspect. Only the strongest visual examples should included.
There should be 5 image examples of print design and 5 images showing the trend by fashion designers.
They can be found on blogs, websites, catwalk research, [login to view URL], existing print studio websites: wgsn, stylesight, online fashion retailers; topshop, zara, etc...
+ a written summary analysing the defining factors of 'why' it is a trend:
a short descriptive paragraph highlighting key fashion designers, what season it's for, is the trend for evening wear/ resort/ casual/ daywear . . . ? Which high street labels are focussing on the trend, key design phrases analysing the artistic direction (e.g soft, blurry, painterly, illustrative, digital, etc)
+ include a colour palette associated with trend direction:
Because trends are a visual representation based on textile print design, colour is always a strong factor.
A select number of colours, between 5-10, should be associated with each trend. These are the strongest colours identified in overall feel, from fabric colours to colour specifically used in print design.
(Keep in mind colour is based upon the season - summer, autumn/winter, resort).

My hired freelancer will have prior experience in fashion trend research, textile design and fashion knowledge. You will need to provide examples of existing trend report you have created.

You mentioned about the importance of imagery selection and I feel the same way; as most trend reports are image driven; the colours, composition and mood reflected in the image need to culminate to a cohesive trend aesthetic that is not only visually pleasing to the eye but also easily understood for the reader.
