==THE JOB==
I'm looking for a female (preference given to moms, single moms, single parent types) writer to write articles for a single parent/ single mother website (see end of description for examples of the type of articles you will be expected to write).
I'm specifically looking for a single mom - writer- it's not a requirement, but it's a big bonus as you will be writing articles for other moms in the same situation.
The goal here is to provide real help to real people, not to write for search engines or game the system. Quite simply, I am looking for quality writers who can actually write, not SEO writer hacks. The focus should be on the content and the reader!
==THE REQUIREMENTS==
The writer must be FROM (and born in) the United States (Canada is ok, but preference given to Americans because the content will be aimed towards that region). For this project, I won't be accepting writers who are not American/Canadian and who's mother language is NOT English. This means no Indian, Pakistani, African, Filipino, European, or other non native English-born persons, please.
You must be a great writer with your articles entertaining, snazzy, and funny -- and educational. Part of this job will require you to do research for your articles. In fact, the research part will make up 50 percent of your time here.
I'm NOT looking for content filler, SEO-loaded articles. These are to be high quality articles full of information and entertaining to read, aimed at single mothers / single parents. If you are not a great writer, don't apply.
==PAYMENT==
The project will entail about $500 - $1000 with the option for more work afterwards. Most articles will be about 1000 words, with a few up to 1500-2000, depending on the topic.
My budget here is about $10 - 15$ per 1000 words, depending on how good the writing and content is. I'm going to be picky here. I'm not trying to get a writer to churn out crappy 500 word filler articles for 3 bucks -- I want quality and I will pay for it, but you have to deliver! You will be writing for a real audience of thousands of people a day, so your writing has to be GOOOD!

I was born in Denver, CO, raised in Nebraska, and joined the military from Virginia. I recently retired from the Coast Guard after twenty-two years of dedicated service. A great deal of my career was upper level management giving me extensive writing and researching skills.
