Dear Mr Mulberry
I was interested to read about the location of your architecture firm - I can imagine it is very rewarding to be be able to create a modern, yet aesthetically acceptable version of a traditional style. It is also heartening to read that you do not see the site of an old and existing property as a building plot with just an old property in the way!
I am British, I live in France, and despite being a writer, I have also been involved in property most of my life. I appreciate there is a variance in the terminology used for certain aspects of buildings and the industry in general, however I do not see that as a drawback as I do write for a good number of US clients and I sense you want a more engaging and empathetic style to the content as opposed to cold and clinical content.
I have a rate of $10.00/100 words for 100% original web copy, which includes one round of editing after presentation of the initial working draft, together with a final proofread. I don't believe any web page offering a service should have more than 400 words as the attention span of readers, no matter the subject, is limited. There is a fear of leaving out 'a vital piece of information' which can cause web copy to lose its impact. In this instance I feel it is the nature of your business and how you approach it which is most important, as opposed to saying the standard text about how professional and successful you are, but leaving out any sense of a USP!
Regards
David Dundas
