Hello,
I'm looking for someone with Classic ASP coding experience. I need a user to be able to edit their profile and select other users (the users are pulled from a database) pulling this information and displaying it can be done any way for example you could use what I currently have setup which is dropdown box or you could change it to something completely different like for example, checkboxes, multi-select or from a list, it's up to you. The drop down of users on the site is currently working but you may want to change it so the value in the database will work for the next step; once a user selects other user who they want to track/see in their profile they should also be able to go back later and update their profile again too. (this is working as well; but you might need to use your own code; the following step is what needs to be created) The next step is what I'm having problems with and it's the reason I'm needing your help (grin) for the final step the users which are selected need to be links to those profiles.
I'm currently using a single flat-file database so I'm not sure how to accomplish this. To understand more of what I'm looking for go to: [url removed, login to view] and you'll see the selection listed as "Track Player 1" and Track Player 2" this portion of the site is 90% completed and works. However now I need to be able to link those names associated with the "Track Player". The drop down box is only saving only the users last name; you might want to change this and create a value to make the link go to the correct record.
In a nutshell I need the following; if you go to [url removed, login to view] and login email address of "Troy" and password "Troy" then click "EDIT PROFILE" you'll see "Currently Following: Walsh or Williams <<<< these last names need to be hyperlinks to those specific users profiles; so for example if you click on the user Wash it should take you to the user profile; [url removed, login to view]
Sorry, I do not wish to convert to ASP.NET this is Classic ASP coding site; all of which was created in Dreamweaver CS6.
You're free to change anything; including the database to make this work or additional pages added as well.
