The band is G & D

We want to achieve a shamrock effect with the letters.

Use the capital form of G on the left (use an Insular G form https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insular_G)
and a capital D on the right.

Running central down through the letters will be a Viking short sword, with typical Celtic embellishments in the pommel & Guard.

Think Game of Thrones, Nordic/ Viking , Celtic / Irish theme.

Something that could be used as a Tattoo!!
