コンテスト概要

The cafe is to be named Levain (a French baking term).
It's a western cafe. Possibly minor Asian influences, but not enough to be relevant for this logo design brief.

The current working logos are attached, but one doesn't have quite enough impact and the other may confuse people into thinking it's a bakery instead of a cafe (although it's handy for branding the bread sold in the cafe).

As for the term Levain, it's related to the process of baking Sourdough bread, and indeed the cafe has a big focus on Sourdough bread, which is a healthier and tastier alternative than the standard wheat bread. The health benefit may be incorporated into the branding, but not necessarily the logo (unless it works with your design for some reason).

The look and feel of the cafe will be cozy/hipster/minimalistic/contemporary.
The desired branding reflects those emotions.
