コンテスト概要

I am looking for someone who can make the design of my app and the design of the app logo.

It is important that the user immediately understands how the app works and that the app has a professional and clean appearance.
I also made a functions tree to clearly show what the app can do.
I have not yet come up with a good name for the app, if you have ideas I would like to hear/see it.

About the logo:
Just like the app itself, the logo should look simple and clean.
It would be best if the logo expresses the functionality of the app.

About the app:
When you go on a vacation with friends it is common to appoint someone to keep a money pot.
Keeping a money pot by someone is useful so that you do not have to pay all separately for, for example, each drink during a night out.
A pot for one evening is therefore easy to keep up, but what if you all go out on day 1 and on day 2 only a few of the group go out.
Then you get a problem because you can no longer use the shared pot.
You either have to make a new pot for that one evening or pay all separately again.

Because a shared pot is very useful, I have (partly) written an app that keeps track of everything.
Everyone deposits money and you put it in the app.
Then you can add activities and indicate who has to pay and who not.
The app will then continue to settle everything so that the pot remains replenished and nobody pays for something that he shouldn't pay for.

As an example:
You are going on a small vacation with (person-A, person-B, person-C, person-D, person-E).
You decide to make a pot and everyone deposits 50 and you put this in the app. (totally in the pot = 250)
Then you do the following activities and put them in the app:

-Eat at a restaurant with:
person-A
person-C
person-D
person-E
Total cost = 40

-Night out with:
person-B
person-C
person-D
person-E
Total cost = 80

-Explore the city with:
person-A
person-B
person-C
person-D
person-E
Total cost = 50

As you can see, person-B didn't go to 'Eat at a restaurant' and person-A didn't go to 'Night out' so they don't have to pay for that.
At the end of the holiday, there is still 80 left in the pot and you want to settle everything.
The app will then tell you who has to pay extra and who will get money back.
In this case, this will come out:
Totally still in the pot = 80
person-A get 30 back
person-B get 20 back
person-C get 10 back
person-D get 10 back
person-E get 10 back

During the holidays you always keep an overview of how much is in the pot and which people have to put in more money.
This is an easy example but from experience, everything can get very chaotic, that's why I make this app.



Just as extra information, the holiday was an example, the app can also be used for other things such as for an evening out where you have to pay for drinks, food and entrance.
Making a pot is useful, but (as an example) maybe not everyone in the group will eat.

Making a pot for certain things when you are in a group is very common, so the app can be used for more things than my example. So the app is not specifically focused on holidays.

The app is also not aimed at securing money or anything like that.
I see many entries with a lock or shield, this looks and sounds a bit heavy.
The app is intended to prevent people/friends from paying for an activity that they did not participate in.
So it is especially useful and not necessarily as security.
It is nice for everyone and the costs of the activities are shared more fairly and you will have a nice overview.

    Hi!
    1. Do you need a design for IOS of Android?
    2. Is it correct that there will be no money transfers inside the app? It should only allow to add notes about all expences and make calculations.
    3. When the person who is appointed to keep the money pot does not participate in some activities, should someone else take all money from him?
    4.How do you plan to monetise your app?
    5. There are several apps which already solve similar problems e.g. Splitwise (see https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Splitwise.SplitwiseMobile&hl=en_US). How to you want to stand out from them?

      Good questions

      1. I program in an engine so it doesn't matter if it's for IOS or Android.
      Eventually, I put them out for both.
      2. Yes, that's right.
      3. No, all the money stays with that person, but you can put in the app that someone else paid for the activity that you were not with and then the app will calculate everything again.
      4. Ads, purchase to remove the ads and maybe release a premium version.
      5. A number of people (and myself) do not find Splitwise useful for a number of reasons and in many cases. It is quite a long story but you can assume that we have looked and searched for other apps and that we still want to build this app because most of them still miss something.

    I want to make this competition a little clearer.

    Today I am going to remove all double entries and all logos that look less good than the others.
    I also go through all UI's to give better and clear feedback.

    This is useful for me so that I keep an overview and useful for you so you don't waste time on things that don't stand a chance.

      Sure, in the example designs you can see the structure of the app that I like. I personally like the colors blue and green the best. In Example design3 you can see a main color (blue) and multiple colors are used without looking very chaotic, that is by far the best.

    Hello Sir . Don you need just logo or app UI too. because all entries are just logo entries . i am confused should i submit logo only or app UI both. because i am working on app UI too.

      It is for a logo and a UI. At the moment, many logos have been sent because you finish them faster than a UI. A few people have already sent an UI, which is very quick.

      I don't really have a name for the app yet but maybe something like 'bill splitter' or 'GroupPay'.
